This Router is mostly used in the United States and the United Kingdom and the Most popular Routers and commonly used are E2500, E1200, RE6300, RE6500, EA7500, EA7300, etc.

You can use the Mobile App for Android/iOS to set up the Linksys Wifi Router, or just visit the 192.168.1.1 IP address to Operate its WEB Version.

How to Login to the Linksys Admin Page?

Step 1: First Connect Your Router with your PC with the Help of a Wifi/Lan Cable.

Step 2: Visit myrouter.local web address or 192.168.1.1 IP Address and Wait for the Login page to Appear.

Step 3: Enter the Default Username and Password given at the Router Backside, and click Login. (You can use the default Username and Password for Linksys as admin)

Congrats!! You are successfully Logged in to the Admin page of your Linksys Router, Now you can do any changes to your router.

How to Change Linksys Wifi Passowrd?

Step 1: First of all Get Logged in to the Router Admin page.

Step 2: Now go to Wireless >> Wireless Security. Then change the Security Mode to any WPA2 type.

Step 3: Then Enter the Wifi Password in the box below that and Click Save Settings.

This may Reboot your Router, wait until your Router is Rebooted. If not you can manually Restart your Router to make sure new settings are applied.

You must Make your Wifi Secure with WPA2 PSK setting. If you leave your Wi-Fi open for all then anyone can access your Admin Page with the Default Password. So making the Wifi and Admin Page Secure is a must.

How to Change Admin Password in Linksys Router?

As I said above, you must secure your Admin Password too. If you don’t secure this password anyone can easily log in to your Router Admin Page and Takedown your Internet.

Step 1: First Get Logged in to the Admin Page of your Linksys Router.

Step 2: Then Go to Administration and then Enter the New Password.

Step 3: Now Scroll down and Save Settings, to make sure your Password is saved.

To confirm the settings have been applied, Restart your Router and Try to Login with the New Admin password.

How to RESET the Linksys Wifi Router?

In case you forgot the Admin Password or Wifi Password, or even worse your Router is not working Properly you can RESET Your Router.

Note: When you RESET your router, all settings will get changed and make default. You will have to do all settings again and connect all devices again.

Step 1: Take your Router and turn the Power ON.

Step 2: Find the RESET/WPS Button and Long Press it for 15 seconds.

Step 3: Visit myrouter.local web address or 192.168.1.1 IP Address and Wait for the Login page to Appear.

Step 4: Enter the Default Username and Password given at the Router Backside, and click Login. (You can use the default Username and Password for Linksys as admin)

How to use the Linksys Router as Wi-Fi Repeater/Extender?

There are few Routers that support this feature in Linksys. You can check the Router Names in the Image given below.

Step 1: Visit the IP Address 192.168.1.1 and login to Your Admin Page of Linksys Router.

Step 2: Then under Router Setting go to Connectivity >> Internet Setting and Choose the Connection Type as Wireless Router.

Step 3: Then Enter the Main Modem/Wifi Name (SSID) and Choose the Frequency Band 2.4/5Ghz. And Enter the password to connect the Extender to the Main Router.

Step 4: Now it’s time to Check the Repeater Wifi Name and its Password so you can use the Internet on that Wifi. Go to Connectivity >> Basic and Note down the Password or Change it.
